Q. What is MMP360?

A. EFC Systems' manure management plan (MMP) workflow manager, MMP360, is the most comprehensive tool available for turning your raw data into a completed MMP form. It's the only tool that automates the steps required to complete an Iowa MMP (Iowa DNR Form 542-4000). Developing an Iowa MMP currently takes four to eight hours and requires special training to properly perform the required analyses.

MMP360's workflow manager can help you complete an Iowa MMP in 30 minutes or less with no training. MMP360's workflow manager provides a secure account management system that stores data across years to simplify the submission of annual updates and streamline the submission of full plans, which are required every four years.

Q. When do I receive my annual short form (542-8162), annual compliance form (542-064), and record keeping form (542-8002)?

A. Those forms will be available on MMP360 and they will be automatically emailed to you prior to when your yearly MMP update is due.

Q. Do you submit my manure management plan to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources for me?

A. Upon completion of your report you will download a copy and submit it to the Iowa DNR.

Q. How do I know if I need to submit a manure management plan?

A. Refer to the regulations specified by the Iowa DNR to determine if a manure management plan is required.

Q. Does MMP360 compute my RUSLE2 and P-Index?

A. Yes, MMP360 computes both your fields RUSLE2 and P-Index for you and they are included in your original file on your My Reports.

Q. Is there a difference in the results between a multiyear rotation vs. a single year rotation when computing RUSLE2?

A. There is no difference in the RUSLE2 results between a multiyear rotation and a single year rotation.

Q. How is the crop nitrogen usage rate determined for corn?

A. This rate is chosen based upon what zone the location of the field is in following the guidelines set by the Iowa DNR Appendix A5.

Q. How is the slope length and average slope steepness calculated for my field?

A. MMP360 uses the latest information available from the SSURGO database to calculate the slope length and average slope steepness.

Q. Where does the weather information come from on MMP360's As Applied Record Keeping?

A. The weather information for MMP360's As Applied Record Keeping comes from forecast.io which uses an aggregate of many high quality weather sources such as NOAA’s NEXRAD system which provided resolutions at 1-4 KMs in the Continental US.

Q. Are plat maps for my fields included in the computed report?

A. Yes, plat maps are included in your original file on your My Reports page.

Q. What if I have an animal feeding operation that has both solid and liquid animal sources?

A. Two separate page ones will be created: one for liquid manure production phases and one for solid manure production phases.

Q. Does MMP360 determine the setbacks as defined by the Iowa DNR for where I can apply manure?

A. No, you and your applicator will need to determine these setback distances for manure application as defined by the Iowa DNR in footnote ee of form 542-4000.

Q. How do I create an account on MMP360?

A. Go to our Account Registration and fill out the required information.

Q. What happens to my reports if I delete my account?

A. If you choose to delete your account than all associated reports will also be deleted.

Q. What if I forgot my account’s password?

A. Go to our Forgot your Password page and enter in your email address.

Q. What if I am locked out of my account?

A. After to many incorrect attempts your account is locked for its own protection. You will receive an email informing you of this action and the appropriate steps needed to unlock it.

Q. What is your policy on refunds?

A. Please contact Customer Support with your invoice number within 120 days of the payment.

Q. Does MMP360 work on manure management plans for states other than Iowa?

A. Currently MMP360 works for animal feeding operations that apply manure only in the state of Iowa.

Q. How do I submit other required documentation as part of my manure management plan?

A. Depending on your specific animal feeding operation additional information maybe be uploaded to MMP360 such as manure analysis, field agreements, yield methods, tile intake documentation, and soil fertility data.

Q. What is the difference between the original file and the complete report file on the my reports page?

A. The original file is your complete manure management plan in pdf form while the complete report file includes the manure management plan plus any other information the you have uploaded such as other required documentation.

Q. Why is my complete report in a zip file?

A. The zip file contains the complete manure management plan including all other user uploaded required documentation assembled as a pdf. You can open a zip file by double clicking the compressed folder and dragging the file from the compressed folder to a new location.

Q. Why are all of my reports in a PDF form?

A. A PDF is a file format that provides an electronic image of text or text and graphics that looks like a printed document and can be viewed, printed, and electronically transmitted. To open a pdf download Adobe Reader

Q. What browsers does MMP360 work on?

A. MMP360 works in all major browsers such as Internet Explorer, Chrome, Safari, and Firefox. Also, because MMP360 is web based it works on any major operating system with an internet connection.

A. Yes, MMP360 works on any mobile device with an internet connection.
